The province of Surigao lies on the northern tip of Mindanao Island. It issued no notes of its own, but most, if not all, of the municipalities within Surigao counterstamped notes from Cebu. Most of these notes are fairly poor in condition, but others seem to have made it through in decent shape. Below are a few samples of the counterstamps you are likely to encounter.
